Customized Job Matching Proves Effective
Strengthening Support for Youth Employment
Gimcheon City in Gyeongbuk held the 'Monthly Successful Employment Smart Matching Job Fair' to provide practical job opportunities for young job seekers in the region.
The job fair, held on the 19th at the Gimcheon City Workers' Welfare Center, saw the participation of 14 companies offering a total of 51 job openings. Out of 105 job seekers who attended interviews, 13 were hired on the spot.
To provide practical assistance to job seekers, the fair featured customized programs such as resume photo shoots, personal color analysis, and career tarot readings. Announcer Han Seokjun gave a special lecture on the topic of 'Speaking for Happy Communication,' which received an enthusiastic response from participants.
The city provided a 50,000 won interview allowance to job seekers who participated in the fair and offers a job settlement allowance to young people who remain employed for three months, as part of its active support policies.
A city official stated, "We plan to continue operating customized employment support programs that provide practical help to young job seekers."
Meanwhile, the city plans to hold the job fair regularly on the third Wednesday of every month.
The second fair will be held on April 16, with plans to expand support to enable more companies and job seekers to participate.
