Gyeongbok University has been certified as an Excellent University in Educational Internationalization Competency for seven consecutive years.
On the 20th, Gyeongbok University announced that it was selected as an 'Excellent Certified University,' the highest grade, in both degree programs and language training programs in the Educational Internationalization Competency (IEQAS) certification review and the survey on the recruitment and management of international students. Accordingly, Gyeongbok University has maintained its status as a certified university in educational internationalization competency for seven consecutive years since 2019.
Notably, among the 27 universities designated as Excellent Certified Universities in Educational Internationalization Competency this time, Gyeongbok University is the only junior college.

The Educational Internationalization Competency certification is a system introduced by the government to evaluate universities' internationalization capabilities, aiming to enhance the international credibility of domestic higher education and strengthen global competitiveness.
Following this certification, Gyeongbok University will be publicly announced through overseas offices and will receive benefits such as ▲simplified visa issuance procedures for foreign international students ▲additional points when applying for the Government Scholarship Program (GKS) ▲preferential participation in overseas Korean study abroad fairs.
