‘Garden of Korea’ Taean County, Chungnam Province, has designated 2025 as the ‘Year of Visit Taean’ and is actively attracting tourists. Meanwhile, public officials are also drawing attention by voluntarily taking initiatives to increase the number of visitors. /Taean County

Taean County in South Chungcheong Province has designated 2025 as the "Year of Visiting Taean" and is actively working to attract tourists. In line with this, public officials have also voluntarily taken steps to help increase the number of visitors.

According to the county, Moon Hyungdong, head of the Corporate Attraction Support Team in the Economic Promotion Division, personally funded the production of 100 "Year of Visiting Taean" stickers for vehicles and delivered them to companies in the Taean Industrial Complex on the 14th.

The Taean Industrial Complex, located in Sakseon-ri, Taean-eup, is a hub for the connection and revitalization of local businesses, and currently houses 26 companies.

These companies joined Moon's initiative by attaching the stickers to a total of 50 logistics vehicles, thereby contributing to the promotion of the Year of Visiting Taean.

Seventeen other staff members from the Economic Promotion Division, who work with Moon, also agreed to participate in the promotion by voluntarily attaching the stickers to their own vehicles, drawing attention.

A representative of a company in the Taean Industrial Complex said, "Since our logistics vehicles travel all over the country, the promotional effect of the 'Year of Visiting Taean' stickers will be significant. We all consider ourselves ambassadors for the Year of Visiting Taean and will take small actions to promote it."

Public officials who attached the stickers to their vehicles also commented, "If we can promote Taean through small actions, it will be very rewarding, so I decided to participate," and "As a resident of the county, I hope many people will visit Taean this year."

In addition, public officials are engaging in small-scale promotional activities for the success of the Year of Visiting Taean, such as changing their messenger profile pictures and statuses to "Year of Visiting Taean," using related hashtags on social media, and attaching stickers to notebooks or approval folders.

A county official stated, "Taean County has adopted the slogan 'The Garden of Korea, Taean' to become a healing tourism city on the West Coast. Starting with the proclamation ceremony on January 14, we have officially launched the '2025 Year of Visiting Taean.' All public officials will work together for successful operations and strive to maximize tourist satisfaction."
