Korea Senior Citizens Association Namyangju Branch Holds Regular General Meeting
The Korea Senior Citizens Association Namyangju Branch (Branch Chief Yoon Haewon, hereinafter referred to as the Korea Senior Citizens Association) held its 2025 regular general meeting on the 20th at the Dasan Hall of the City Hall.

The general meeting was held with the attendance of Namyangju Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, executives and staff of the Namyangju Branch, chairpersons of 555 senior centers, and Namyangju City Council Chairman Jo Seongdae. The agenda included △reading of the senior citizens' pledge △awarding certificates of commendation and congratulatory speeches △review of settlement and budget proposals.
In the individual awards section, Jung Kyu-young, a supervisor at Namyangju Urban Corporation, who was recognized for contributions such as providing convenience at sports facilities, received the Branch Chief Award. Six individuals who contributed to the development of senior leisure welfare each received the Mayor's Award or the Chairman's Award.
In the group awards section, the following received the Branch Chief Award: △(Grand Prize) Wabu-eup branch △(Excellence) Hwado-eup, Jingeon-eup, Byeollae-myeon △(Encouragement) Jinjeop-eup, Pyeongnae-dong, Byeollae-dong branches.
Following the first part of the commemorative ceremony, the Korea Senior Citizens Association proceeded with the review and approval of the 2024 business performance and settlement report, as well as the 2025 business plan and budget proposal.
Branch Chief Yoon Haewon expressed, “I thank all the delegates for their hard work and active cooperation to improve senior welfare,” and added, “We will continue to build a warm senior citizens association based on mutual respect and consideration.”
Mayor Joo Gwangdeok said in his congratulatory speech, “It is a great honor and pride for Namyangju City that the efforts made throughout the year in various fields such as senior job projects and volunteer activation have resulted in valuable awards.”
He continued, “We will do our best to expand senior welfare centers by region, increase senior job opportunities, build public medical centers and support nursing care costs, and create comfortable senior centers so that seniors can enjoy a more convenient and healthy old age.”
Meanwhile, the Korea Senior Citizens Association Namyangju Branch is expanding digital leisure programs such as kiosk operation and on-site experiences and promoting projects to revitalize senior centers.
Additionally, through various senior job projects including the silver cafe ‘Haemiil’, silver convenience stores, and silver beauty salons, they are striving to advance senior welfare in the local community.
