On the 19th, Baek Kyung-hyun, mayor of Guri City, attended the ‘52nd Commerce Day in 2025’ event hosted by the Gyeonggi Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Lee Hong-gyun) to encourage the efforts of businesspeople leading Guri City's economic growth and urged them to join forces to revitalize the local economy.

The event was held successfully with the attendance of Baek Kyung-hyun, mayor of Guri City, Lee Hong-gyun, chairman of the Gyeonggi Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and over 100 local small and medium-sized business owners. The program proceeded in the order of commemorative speeches, awards for meritorious persons, and congratulatory speeches.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “You play an important role not only as agents of economic activity but also as leaders creating social value,” and expressed his expectations that “the CEO capacity-building projects and support programs promoted by the Gyeonggi Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry will play a leading role in change.”

He continued, “We will contribute to revitalizing the local economy by fostering a business-friendly environment and strengthening cooperation for sustainable development,” expressing his determination to build a city that grows together with businesspeople.
