Gimpo City formed the "TF for Local Economic Recovery" led by Vice Mayor Lee Seok-beom and held its first meeting on the 18th. Through this TF, the city plans to establish measures to relax regulations to support the convenience of small business owners and citizens, and to promote local economic consumption through cooperation between citizens and the city, implementing phased action plans.
At the meeting held that day, various economic revival policies were discussed, ranging from suspending parking violation enforcement and expanding discounts on public parking fees to reducing road occupancy fees and promoting local small business owners.
The TF team’s task force is divided into four main groups. The General Affairs team plans to establish detailed measures to revitalize the participation of local small business owners and companies in construction projects, aiming to help small business owners overcome financial difficulties and achieve stable management.
The Price Stabilization team will review the expansion of road occupancy fee reductions for small business owners and actively promote policies that facilitate local tax payments.
The Convenience Support team discussed customized consultations for high-amount tax delinquents and encouraging installment payments, as well as suspending parking violation enforcement during lunch and dinner hours around local shopping districts or reducing public parking fees.
The Citizen Promotion team agreed to focus on informing citizens about locally produced goods and how to use local stores through various channels.
Gimpo City is determined to accelerate efforts to support small business owners by cooperating with related organizations and groups through this TF.
A Gimpo City official stated, “We will promptly review measures that can provide practical and impactful assistance. Through public-private cooperation, we will regularly monitor local issues and establish a cooperative system to support the revitalization of the local economy.”
