Global Mall Ollyoung Sale Sees Record-breaking Order Growth
Emerging Korean Brands Capture International Attention

CJ Olive Young announced on the 20th that the order amount for the 'Ollyoung Sale' held on the Global Mall from the 1st to the 7th grew by 107% compared to the same period last year.

The company explained that foreign tourists who experienced K-beauty in stores continued to make purchases through the Global Mall even after returning to their home countries, leading to a surge in order amounts. During this sale, not only K-beauty brands but also K-health brands saw a balanced increase in recognition, recording the largest order amount ever.


Specifically, while mask packs and sunscreens were mainly popular among foreigners in the past, recently various categories such as probiotics, slimming products, hair treatments, and toothpaste have received attention. In particular, English-speaking customers, who are highly interested in improving dietary habits, showed great interest in health supplements like probiotics, while Japanese customers, who have high demand for dental health and whitening, showed strong interest in oral care products.


During the Global Mall Ollyoung Sale period, the order amounts for oral care products and health supplements grew by 217% and 188%, respectively, significantly surpassing the overall order growth rate of 107%. Orders for body care products (168%) and hair care products (127%) also showed remarkable growth.


The popularity of emerging Korean brands is also on the rise. Representative examples include 'Arencia,' a small and medium-sized enterprise brand inspired by Korean 'tteok' (rice cake), with its Rice Cake Soap Green Cleanser, and 'Biodance's Collagen Real Deep Mask,' a unique collagen gel-type pack that is gaining popularity. These brand products, boasting unique formulations and ingredients not easily found overseas, ranked within the top 15 popular products in this sale.


Marking its 5th year since launch, the Global Mall Ollyoung Sale is a flagship discount event held four times a year (March, June, September, December) on the Global Mall. The number of brands participating in this sale has increased about threefold compared to the early launch in 2021.


An Olive Young official stated, "We will continue to expand the global touchpoints of tenant brands through differentiated content like the Global Mall Ollyoung Sale and strive to create a sustainable growth environment."
