Hapcheon County Promotes Food Culture and Hygiene Improvement Project

Up to 3.5 Million KRW Support Per Business
30% Self-Funding Required

Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 20th that it will accept additional applications for the '2025 Food Culture Improvement Support Project' from small-scale restaurants and public hygiene businesses until the remaining project funds are exhausted.


This project targets restaurants, lodging businesses, beauty salons, and bathhouses, providing support of up to 3.5 million KRW per establishment. Eligible businesses include those improving hygiene facilities such as kitchens, dining areas, and restrooms; lodging, beauty, and bathhouse businesses renovating their internal environments; establishments replacing shared plates and individual side dish bowls to prevent infectious diseases; and restaurants that use a lot of oil and are upgrading their kitchen facilities.

The additional support will be provided to a total of 38 businesses: 10 for restaurant facility improvements, 5 for lodging, beauty, and bathhouse businesses, 13 for support with shared side dish bowls, and 9 for kitchen hygiene environment improvements. The maximum support amount is 3.5 million KRW, and participating businesses are required to cover 30% of the costs themselves.


Eligible applicants are businesses currently operating in Hapcheon County, with the representative's address registered in Hapcheon County. They must have no local tax arrears and must not have received any legal penalties related to the business within the past year. Additional points are given if local companies are used to carry out the support project. Businesses wishing to apply should visit the Environmental Hygiene Division for submission.


Seo Wonho, head of the Environmental Hygiene Division, said, "Under the slogan 'Cleaner Means Tastier,' we are focusing on improving the hygiene environment of restaurants in Hapcheon County," and urged, "Even in this difficult economic situation, we hope that you will actively participate in facility improvements through this opportunity."
