Regular General Meeting of Shareholders Held
Samsung SDS held its 40th regular general meeting of shareholders at the Jamsil Campus in Songpa-gu, Seoul, the company announced on the 19th. At the shareholders' meeting, agenda items such as approval of the financial statements, appointment of CEO Lee Jun-hee and Vice President Lee Ho-jun as inside directors, and approval of the director remuneration limit were resolved.
Samsung SDS achieved sales of 13.8282 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 911.1 billion KRW last year.
The cloud business, considered a key focus area, recorded sales of 2.3235 trillion KRW, a 24% increase compared to the previous year. Cloud now accounts for more than 37% of the IT services business, becoming a major business segment.
Samsung SDS emphasized that it is actively expanding its generative AI business centered on the rapidly growing GPUaaS (subscription-based GPU service) business, the enterprise generative AI platform FabriX, and the enterprise collaboration solution Brity Copilot.
In the logistics business, sales of the digital logistics platform 'Cello Square' surpassed 1.16 trillion KRW, more than doubling compared to the previous year. The number of subscribed customers also increased to about 19,000 companies.
Despite challenges such as the global economic downturn and uncertain management environment this year, Samsung SDS plans to strengthen its generative AI-based cloud business.
Additionally, the company is preparing a GPU-based AI data center while expanding cloud transition and operation businesses mainly in the public and financial sectors. Through the generative AI business, Samsung SDS aims to support hyper-automation of corporate customers' tasks.
