This event was organized to identify policy demands and seek practical cooperation measures aimed at strengthening policy collaboration and the industrial ecosystem, with the goal of helping Busan become a global AI hub city.
The meetup day consisted of two sessions: ▲policy cooperation matching and ▲consulting to strengthen the capabilities of companies for public contest projects through company-expert matching.
In the first session, 34 organizations including Busan City, the Promotion Agency, and related institutions participated to discuss the development direction of the regional industry and ways to collaborate and consult on planned projects through policy cooperation matching.
In the second session, 24 companies were matched with experts for customized consulting on preparing business plans and strategies for attracting government projects. Based on the experts' advice, companies received practical guidance to strengthen their capabilities to participate in public projects and to utilize government support programs more effectively.
The event was attended by Sung Heeup, Chief Policy Advisor of Busan City, Sung Changyong, Chairman of the Planning and Finance Committee of the Busan City Council, Lee Seungwoo, member of the Planning and Finance Committee, as well as officials from Busan City, related organizations, companies, and industry and academic experts, who engaged in field-oriented discussions.
Participants focused on discussions about ▲policy proposals and consultations ▲cooperation measures for creating an industrial ecosystem ▲strategic approaches to attract government projects. In particular, companies had the opportunity to communicate directly with policy officials on-site and to develop realistic support measures.
President Kim Taeyeol of the Promotion Agency stated, “This ‘Coexistence and Cooperation Policy Meetup Day’ is meaningful not just as a discussion, but as an opportunity to reflect the voices of the industrial field in policy and achieve tangible outcomes. We will continue to strengthen cooperation with related organizations and companies so that Busan can establish itself as a global AI hub city.”
Jung Nayoung, Director of the Future Technology Strategy Bureau of Busan City, emphasized, “For Busan to lead digital innovation, policy and the industrial field must be organically connected. Based on the cooperation measures discussed today, we will prepare practical support measures and actively promote field-oriented policies.”
This event received high praise for presenting a practical cooperation model that strengthens the connection between policy and industry. The Promotion Agency plans to continue follow-up discussions based on the policy opinions collected at the event and to further solidify the foundation for innovation in AI and digital industries in cooperation with Busan City and related organizations.
