Muan County to Provide Monthly Housing Subsidy of 200,000 Won for Young Job Seekers

For Those with Household Income at or Below 150% of the Median Income

Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 18th that it will recruit 20 recipients for the 2025 Housing Expense Support Program for Young Workers to help stabilize the housing situation for working youth.


The Housing Expense Support Program for Young Workers provides up to 200,000 KRW per month for up to one year to young people living in rental homes (jeonse or wolse) within Muan County whose household income is at or below 150% of the median income.

Eligible applicants must be workers or business owners aged between 18 and 45 who are registered residents of Muan County as of the application date, have a jeonse loan of at least 50 million KRW, pay a monthly rent of 600,000 KRW or less, and do not own a home.


However, those who are already receiving housing benefits for low-income households, national or local government officials or public employees, recipients of other housing-related financial support, or those covered by similar housing support programs from the government or local authorities are not eligible to apply.


Applicants should check the eligibility requirements through the public notice on the Muan County Office website by the 28th, prepare their ID and required documents, and submit them to the local town or township office corresponding to their registered address. Final recipients will be selected at the end of April after eligibility screening.


Governor Kim San stated, "We hope that through this housing expense support program, young people will be able to achieve economic independence and establish a stable foundation for their lives."
