Recruiting 213 Participants on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
"Relieving the Burden of Private Education Expenses"
Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province is recruiting 213 participants on a first-come, first-served basis for the Internet College Entrance Exam Broadcast Tuition Support Program until the 4th of next month.
According to the city on the 18th, this program was established to alleviate the financial burden of private education expenses for parents and to provide equal educational opportunities.
The Internet College Entrance Exam Broadcast Support Program offers a total of about 1,360 courses for students from the first year of middle school to the third year of high school through Gangnam Ingang (Gangnam District Office Internet College Entrance Exam Broadcast), allowing students to freely take courses according to their level. The program features high-quality lectures by current teachers from special-purpose and autonomous private high schools, as well as well-known instructors from Daechi-dong.
The program is open to middle and high school students who are registered residents of Jeonju. Selected students will receive 35,000 won out of the annual tuition fee of 45,000 won from the city, so they only need to pay 10,000 won once a year. Socially disadvantaged students, such as recipients of basic livelihood security, those in the next lower income bracket, and single-parent families, can take the courses for free without any limit on the number of participants.
Applications can be submitted through the Jeonju City website, and the city will individually notify applicants of the results after confirming eligibility, such as residency, after the 4th of next month. For more details, inquiries can be made by phone.
A city official said, "We hope that this Internet College Entrance Exam Broadcast Support Program will be a great opportunity to reduce the burden of private education expenses and actively contribute to academic improvement."
