According to Raon People, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) platforms, Raonroad announced on the 17th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 15th with Millionairee, a company focused on Thai government projects and AI initiatives, at the Thai National Assembly, and will actively participate in building an AI-based smart city in Thailand.
The agreement between Raonroad and Millionairee is a strategic business partnership aimed at 'building Thailand's smart city and expanding into the global market.' Raonroad will be responsible for establishing smart city models using Korean-made AI semiconductors in major cities including Bung Kan Province in Thailand, while Millionairee will focus on government sales, technical support, marketing, and Southeast Asian market promotion to enhance global business expansion capabilities.
A Thai smart city official attending the event stated, “Our primary goal is to create a safe and smart city by utilizing AI vision solutions to ensure the safety of Thai citizens and tourists, prevent crimes, and conduct integrated surveillance including criminal recognition, tracking, vehicle identification, and traffic accident monitoring within urban and tourist areas.” He added, “As a long-term project, we aim to advance into a leading smart city nation by integrating AI platforms for autonomous driving, intelligent transportation systems, smart agriculture, smart healthcare, and smart environmental management through AI data construction.”
Kang Byung-ki, Vice President of Raonroad, said, “Previously, Raon People signed an agreement with Bung Kan Province in Thailand and carried out an AI solution project related to disaster control and urban safety, demonstrating the scalability and effectiveness of AI technology, which earned recognition not only for our technology but also for our reliability from Thai government officials. With Raonroad joining, we will expand our role alongside Millionairee to secure large-scale projects based on our experience in Korea, ranging from traffic control using Korean AI semiconductors to digital twin and smart city construction.”
Meanwhile, Millionairee, which signed the MOU with Raonroad, is a company based in Bangkok. It leads Thailand’s next-generation digital innovation by linking national projects such as city and system construction and infrastructure development, and by combining AI platforms with blockchain technology for use in industries, finance, and smart city development.
