The Hongju Culture and Tourism Foundation, established and operated by Hongseong County in Chungnam, has been consecutively selected for public offerings in the field of culture and arts education, raising expectations for the active implementation of regionally tailored culture and arts education projects.
According to the foundation, the projects selected in this year's public offerings include the following, all overseen by the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation: ▲ Early Childhood Culture and Arts Education Support Project (47 million KRW), ▲ Field Capacity Building Project for Culture and Arts Educators (32 million KRW), and ▲ Basic Culture and Arts Education Center Support Project (30 million KRW).
The Early Childhood Culture and Arts Education Support Project is designed to foster creativity and sensitivity in young children (ages 3 to 5). The foundation plans to develop educational materials for craft experiences and operate programs with professional instructors starting in May.
The Field Capacity Building Project for Culture and Arts Educators supports the placement of culture and arts educators in the field to develop and operate culture and arts education programs tailored to the characteristics of the region. The foundation plans to select culture and arts educators through an open recruitment process in April and operate a variety of culture and arts education programs for local residents.
Choi Geonhwan, CEO of the Hongju Culture and Tourism Foundation, stated, "We will use this selection as an opportunity to enhance the foundation's role and expertise as a specialized institution in culture and arts," and added, "We will continue to strive to expand opportunities for local residents to enjoy culture and the arts."
