Dongmyung University Youth Supporters 'Cheongbaram' Begin Activities at Haeundae Youth Center

The Department of Social Welfare at Tongmyong University recently announced on the 17th that it has organized the youth activity team 'Cheongbaram' (a refreshing wind of change for youth) to enhance students' employability and expand field experience opportunities, and has officially begun activities at the Haeundae Youth Center.

The Cheongbaram team is a youth support group composed of six second-year and two third-year students from the Department of Social Welfare at Tongmyong University. At the Haeundae Youth Center, they participate in activities such as the Youth Participation Committee, Youth Management Committee, Youth Planning Group 'Haeripose', and various youth clubs.

The Haeundae Youth Center is a public youth training facility operated by Busan YMCA and offers growth opportunities for youth aged 9 to 24, global talent development activities, and after-school academies for youth. In particular, it promotes self-directed growth among youth by revitalizing youth self-governing organizations.

Yoon Kyungseon, the director, stated, "Through committee activities at the Haeundae Youth Center, students can develop leadership and professional skills in the youth sector, which will be helpful for employment."

Kim Jongsik, the leader of the Cheongbaram team, shared, "I have learned about the role of youth training facilities and their impact on the local community and youth, and I believe that continued participation will greatly help me in setting my future career path."

Professor Park Seonsook, the advisor for Cheongbaram, said, "Through activities at youth training facilities, students will be able to cultivate the qualities of prospective youth leaders and enhance their employability through exchanges with social welfare facilities within the operating corporation."

The Department of Social Welfare at Tongmyong University operates specialized educational programs for obtaining certifications such as social worker, youth leader, and youth counselor. It plays the role of prospective youth leaders at various youth training and welfare facilities, helping the holistic growth of youth and improving their quality of life.
