Goyang City Invites Companies to Participate in 'Startup Audition, 2025 Goyang IR Day'

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 17th that it is recruiting early-stage startups to participate in the ‘Startup Audition, 2025 Goyang IR Day Beginning Challenge,’ which aims to discover outstanding startups and venture companies and provide a meeting place for entrepreneurs and investors.

The applicants are early-stage startups within three years located in Goyang Special City or those planning to relocate to Goyang Special City in 2025, as well as prospective entrepreneurs planning to start new businesses.

The city will accept applications until April 14, select 20 companies in the first round through document evaluation, support investment attraction training and one-on-one mentoring to strengthen the pitching capabilities of early-stage startups, and then select 10 companies through a second presentation evaluation.

The final 10 selected companies will participate in the ‘2025 Goyang IR Day’ scheduled to be held at Ilsan Seo-gu Office on May 29, where they can promote their items and receive investment consultations from invited accelerators (AC) and venture capitalists (VC).

Additionally, opportunities for investment screening from the Goyang Youth Startup Fund and Goyang Venture Fund, established to support the innovative growth of promising youth startups and early-stage startups, will also be provided.

A Goyang Special City official said, “Control M Co., Ltd., a participant in last year’s second half Goyang IR Day, received an investment of 200 million KRW from the Goyang Youth Startup Fund,” and added, “We hope many excellent early-stage startups with potential for growth will apply for the ‘2025 Goyang IR Day,’ which leads to actual investment.”
