Over 250 Participants Attend
Variety of Events Including Presidential Inauguration and Scholarship Donation
The Jaegu Bukgu Uiseong Hometown Association successfully held the '2025 Regular General Meeting and Presidential Inauguration Ceremony' on the 14th at the Laon Wedding Convention Hall in Buk-gu, Daegu.

The event was attended by Kim Jusu, Mayor of Uiseong County, Choi Taerim, Member of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly, Ji Mujin, Vice Chairman of the County Council, Lee Taehun, Mayor of Dalseo District, Ha Byeongmun, Member of the Daegu City Council, Kim Gyuhak, former Daegu City Council Member, the Deputy Mayor of Buk-gu, Daegu, Kim Gwangcheol, Director of Uiseong County, as well as other directors and heads of departments, totaling over 250 participants who graced the occasion.
Lee Cheolwoo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, Park Hyungsu and Kim Seungsu, National Assembly Members, Jo Jaewoo, Mayor of Nam-gu, and others also sent congratulatory messages to celebrate the event.
The regular general meeting featured a variety of events, including the presidential inauguration ceremony, the presentation of plaques of merit and commendation, and a scholarship donation ceremony (KRW 1,000,000).
Kim Jusu, Mayor of Uiseong County, said in his congratulatory speech, "We were once again able to confirm the members' wishes and affection for the development of their hometown," and urged, "I hope those who have moved away will help widely promote Uiseong County's hidden attractions."
Kim Yongju, the newly inaugurated president, stated, "The Jaegu Bukgu Uiseong Hometown Association has been holding charity events for underprivileged neighbors for 11 years now," and added, "We will expand our efforts to benefit the entire city of Daegu." He continued, "We will strengthen the bonds among members and create an association that contributes to the development of our hometown, Uiseong County."
Meanwhile, the Jaegu Bukgu Uiseong Hometown Association has been actively participating in major local events such as the Uiseong International Kite Festival, Uiseong Garlic Festival, Barefoot Walking Festival at the Millennium Temple Gounsa, and the Sansuyu Festival, contributing to the promotion of Uiseong County and the revitalization of the local economy.
