On the 16th, Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated regarding the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol, "The party's official position is to accept the Constitutional Court's decision." In response, Park Chan-dae, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "That is such an obvious statement; how can that be newsworthy?"

On the same day, after attending the 'Easter Preparation Prayer Meeting for the Nation and People' held at Yoido Full Gospel Church, Floor Leader Park told reporters, "Respecting the Constitutional Court's decision is something that any politician with a commitment to uphold the constitution in a rule-of-law country must naturally do."
Floor Leader Park added, "I will ask Kwon whether he will appoint Ma Eun-hyuk as a Constitutional Court justice nominee and whether he will discipline the People Power Party lawmakers who advocated for the destruction of the Constitutional Court."
He continued, "While it is understandable that People Power Party lawmakers somewhat represent the government's position, it is inappropriate to deny 'upholding the constitution' as a member of the legislative branch," and emphasized, "They must apologize to the people for neglecting lawmakers who call for dismantling the Constitutional Court."
When asked about criticisms that "the sincerity of Floor Leader Kwon's remarks is in doubt," Floor Leader Park responded, "We will have to see if he acts accordingly."
