On the 16th, the Democratic Party criticized Kwon Seong-dong, the floor leader of the People Power Party, for saying that "the party's official position is to accept the Constitutional Court's ruling" regarding the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol by the Constitutional Court, saying, "Are you declaring acceptance while inciting non-acceptance?"

On the same day, spokesperson Hwang Jeong-ah pointed out in a written briefing, "The entire nation clearly saw the 24-hour relay protests against impeachment in front of the Constitutional Court and the blatant threats to the court by all means, yet they tell lies that would make Pinocchio cry. Do they have any conscience?"
Spokesperson Hwang said, "The People Power Party is the party of the lawmakers who called Jeon Han-gil, who said that the Democratic Party, which stood against the rebellion with the people, should be annihilated to the third generation, to the National Assembly and incited to destroy the Constitutional Court," adding, "Why do People Power Party lawmakers openly attend rallies filled with madness and abusive language shouting to trample on constitutional court justices and blow up the court, inciting crowds and provoking riots, yet they are not even disciplined?"
She continued, "Before talking about acceptance, at least have some conscience," and criticized, "It is obviously clear that their true intentions lie elsewhere, yet they utter the word 'acceptance' as the official position, which is shameful even to the public."
Furthermore, spokesperson Hwang said, "If there is a will to uphold the rule of law and the constitution, immediately summon Acting President Choi Sang-mok and appoint Ma Eun-hyeok as a constitutional court justice," and urged, "Expel lawmaker Seo Cheon-ho, who incited riots to destroy the Constitutional Court, and lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun, who threatened the court."
She also added, "Take immediate appropriate disciplinary action against People Power Party lawmakers, including Na Kyung-won, who lead far-right agitation," warning, "Otherwise, Floor Leader Kwon's remark about 'acceptance' is nothing but a petty smokescreen to hide the true nature of 'inciting non-acceptance.'"
