On that day, Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church held the "1.2 Million Gwanghwamun Sunday Worship" in front of Donghwa Duty Free Shop in Jongno-gu, Seoul. An unofficial police estimate reported that 6,000 people gathered at the event.
Regarding President Yoon's release, Pastor Jeon said, "Putting him in prison was also an act of God," adding, "The suffering was given to achieve freedom and unification during the remaining two and a half years of President Yoon's term." He also claimed that President Yoon's detention in the detention center was to become a world-renowned figure like the late Presidents Rhee Syngman and Park Chung-hee.
He continued, "President Yoon will be released within this week. He will not be the old Yoon Suk-yeol but a completely transformed Yoon Suk-yeol who has appeared from heaven," and said, "if martial law had not been imposed, South Korea would have fallen to North Korea." He also emphasized, "The Constitutional Court must completely dismiss President Yoon's impeachment this week."
On the same day, the conservative group Angry Blue also held a rally calling for nuclear armament and opposing impeachment in front of Bosingak in Jongno-gu. The Liberty Unification Party held an anti-impeachment rally in front of the Volvo Building near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu.
