For Local Businesses and Apartment Complexes
Facility Improvement Subsidies and Property Tax Reduction Benefits
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju is inviting applications for shared parking lots and temporary public parking lot sites to alleviate parking shortages in the area.
According to Gwangsan-gu on the 14th, the district is currently operating 16 shared parking lots (a total of 576 spaces) and 35 temporary public parking lots (a total of 742 spaces), all open to citizens. This call for applications covers two areas: shared parking lots utilizing parking resources in apartment complexes and private facilities, and temporary public parking lots created on idle land.
Shared parking lots must have at least 5 spaces, be open for at least 35 hours per week, and be available free of charge for more than 3 years. Support will be provided according to the number of spaces made available. Facility improvement subsidies can be granted up to 50 million KRW.
The temporary public parking lot project involves creating a parking lot with at least 10 spaces on idle land (such as building sites or miscellaneous land) with permission for use, and opening it to citizens 24 hours a day. Landowners can receive property tax exemption benefits.
Applications for temporary public parking lots are open until the 28th, and for shared parking lots until April 30.
The district plans to hold on-site business briefings for 26 apartment complexes and commercial alley areas suffering from severe parking shortages to encourage the securing of parking spaces. In addition, to increase the utilization rate of shared parking lots, the district will support facility improvements such as installing additional guide signs, installing CCTV, painting parking lines, and asphalt paving.
