Lee Jun-seok "Both Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung Must Be Ousted... New Leader Needed"

"Patchwork Impeachment Motion... Paying Unnecessary Costs"
"Time to End the Hostile Symbiosis Between the Democratic Party and People Power Party"
"Will Discover Reform Agendas for a New Era"

With the impeachment motion against Choi Jae-hae, Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, Lee Chang-soo, Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and two other prosecutors dismissed, Lee Jun-seok, a member of the Reform New Party, called it a "foreseen result" and sharply criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for disturbing the country alongside President Yoon Seok-yeol. He also emphasized the need for leaders to open a new era, stating that both President Yoon and Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung should be removed.

On the 13th, Lee said on his social media service (SNS), "The grounds for the impeachment were so vague that it was called a 'patchwork impeachment motion,'" adding, "From the beginning, I and the Reform New Party pointed out these issues, and ultimately, because of the Democratic Party, we ended up paying unnecessary social costs." He continued, "Since the Democratic Party also has many lawmakers with legal backgrounds, I believe they anticipated the dismissal of this impeachment. It can only be seen that Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party have politicized the constitutional means of impeachment like a toy to retaliate politically against the prosecutors investigating the Daejang-dong and Baekhyeon-dong preferential treatment suspicions and the money envelope scandal."

He went on, "If the Democratic Party truly did not know the impeachment would be dismissed, that is incompetence; if they did know, they are accomplices disturbing the country alongside the president," and added, "The Democratic Party and the People Power Party continue a hostile symbiotic relationship that raises each other's approval ratings through repeated antics. Like Pavlov's dog, Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party, who only shout impeachment, are ironically empowering Yoon Seok-yeol and the People Power Party, who talk about martial law." He then said, "It is time to break this symbiotic relationship," criticizing, "The president, who fell into delusions of election fraud and privatized the military and police to declare martial law, and Lee Jae-myung, who, out of resentment toward the prosecution, fell into another delusion and privatized impeachment, should both be removed from politics."

Lee also stated, "While the whole world is preparing for the AI era and discussing future growth engines, we are living in a premodern era of martial law, serial impeachments, and Jambidia. The social costs resulting from this are a vicious cycle borne by the people," and emphasized, "In the upcoming early presidential election, we need leaders who will bring fresh dishes to the political table, such as regulatory reform, discovering growth engines, and becoming a leading AI nation, rather than rotten side dishes like martial law and impeachment." He added, "Unfortunately, neither the ruling party nor the main opposition party seems capable of presenting such leaders as candidates," and concluded, "Despite the antics of the two major parties, the Reform New Party and I will calmly prepare for the future. We will discover reform agendas for the new era, not outdated agendas of the old era, and advance together with the people," once again hinting at his presidential candidacy.
