Busan Bumin Hospital has appointed Seok Sangyun as the head of its Spine Center.
Starting from the 17th, Seok Sangyun, an orthopedic specialist, will begin seeing patients. He has previously served as a clinical professor at the Spine Center, Scoliosis Center, and Cancer Center of Asan Medical Center in Seoul, as an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Daejeon Eulji University Hospital, and as a dedicated spine trauma professor at the Daejeon Regional Trauma Center.
Seok Sangyun is a board-certified specialist recognized by the Korean Spinal Neurosurgery Society, a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society, the Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Society, and serves as an academic committee member of the Korean Spinal Oncology Society.
At the Spine Center of Busan Bumin Hospital, Seok Sangyun will be responsible for treating cervical spine diseases (such as herniated cervical discs, cervical myelopathy, ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament, atlantoaxial instability), thoracic and lumbar spine diseases (such as disc herniation and spinal stenosis), minimally invasive spine treatments, and spinal trauma care.
