The Glamorous Return of GS25 Crispy Gimbap... Sold Out 500,000 Units Through Word of Mouth

Re-released After 4 Years
Surpasses 500,000 Units in Cumulative Sales Within 3 Weeks

GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 14th that its Crispy Gimbap, re-released after 4 years, surpassed 500,000 units in cumulative sales within 3 weeks of launch.


The 'Crispy Flying Fish Roe Tuna Mayo Gimbap,' launched by GS25 on the 18th, recorded cumulative sales of 500,000 units in just 3 weeks. This product is an upgraded version in size and toppings of the item discontinued in 2021. It currently ranks second in sales within the gimbap category and boasts a high sales rate of over 90%. Some stores are experiencing early sellouts.

Riding on its popularity, GS25 will release 'Crispy Cheese Buldak Gimbap' on the 18th and 'Crispy Spam Egg Gimbap' in April. The Crispy Cheese Buldak Gimbap was the most requested product for re-release by customers. The prices are 1,900 KRW and 1,800 KRW, respectively.


Under the slogan of a meal revolution, GS25 focuses its ready-meal operation strategy on providing customers with convenient yet high-quality meals.


A GS25 representative explained, "The success of Crispy Gimbap is interpreted as aligning with the trend of the 2030 generation 'YONO (You Only Need One)' group, who pursue practical consumption," adding, "The success of Crispy Flying Fish Roe Tuna Mayo Gimbap is the result of accurately understanding customers' tastes and needs."
