Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Mapo District Office auditorium on the afternoon of the 13th, where the ‘Silppuri Welfare Companion Group Capacity Building Training’ was held.
About 400 members of the Silppuri Welfare Companion Group, organized as neighborhood-level resident gatherings to implement meticulous welfare that permeates the lives of district residents, attended the event.
The training began with an introduction to the Silppuri Welfare Companion Group project and the National Basic Livelihood Security Act.
Afterwards, Lim Dong-hoon, Director of the Korea Social Welfare and Human Rights Research Institute, conducted a ‘Loneliness and Isolation Detection and Prevention Training’ to strengthen the capacity of the Silppuri Welfare Companion Group.
Before the lecture, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, “Just as a strong rootlet makes the main root strong, the role of each neighborhood, like the rootlets of welfare, is of utmost importance. I sincerely thank the members of the Companion Group who are the first to discover and care for difficulties close to neighbors, and I hope you will continue to be a reliable partner for the neighbors of Mapo.”
