Gyeongsan City in North Gyeongsang Province began operating the "Gyeongsan City Joint Pavilion," featuring eight food companies, as the only basic local government to participate in the "2025 FOODEX JAPAN" held in Tokyo, Japan from the 11th to the 14th.

The "2025 FOODEX JAPAN" is Asia's largest exhibition, held annually since 1976, where food experts from around the world gather to unveil new products and make deals with buyers, serving as an important opportunity for business.
Through this exhibition, Gyeongsan City focused on supporting local companies' entry into the global market and promoting and selling competitive products.
The participating companies are: Hanbando (jujube processed foods), Daebon (traditional tea), Dasoni (fermented enzymes), Agros (cold-extracted liquid tea), Moji (fermented infusion tea, kids' beverages), Assagogi (Makchang), Orchid Company (natural seasonings), and Taeguk Sagye (red ginseng, seasoning products).
The Gyeongsan City Joint Pavilion held more than 150 buyer consultations daily, facilitating active business exchanges. Hanbando and Daebon confirmed the potential for "the taste of Gyeongsan" to succeed on the global stage by signing MOUs.
Gyeongsan City observed the exhibition in person, promoted to overseas buyers directly, and held on-site meetings with the companies to share and discuss global market strategies.
In particular, to resolve export delays caused by difficulties in obtaining approval from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for a company that participated last year, the city visited KOTRA Tokyo to seek solutions.
Mayor Cho Hyunil said, "We will provide unwavering support through customized policies so that Gyeongsan's food companies can secure competitiveness on the global stage."
