Dankook University Selected as Host University for International University Sports Federation Academic Conference

Academic Conference to Be Held During the 2027 Chungcheong Universiade

Dankook University announced on the 13th that it has been selected as the host university for the International University Sports Federation (FISU) Academic Conference.

On this day, the university signed an agreement with the Chungcheong Universiade Organizing Committee in the main conference room of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building at the Cheonan campus.

According to the agreement, the university will oversee the planning and operation of the academic conference in cooperation with the organizing committee and FISU, and will be responsible for tasks such as △recruiting participants △inviting keynote speakers △reviewing papers, among others.

President Ahn Sooncheol stated, "This selection is the result of the research capabilities and experience we have accumulated in the field of international sports studies," and added, "We will spare no effort to support active academic exchanges among sports researchers and university students from around the world through this academic conference."

Meanwhile, the conference will be held during the Chungcheong Universiade, which takes place from August 1 to 12, 2027, and is expected to attract more than 300 university students and researchers from 40 countries.
