Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) is recruiting applicants for the first-ever 'Citizen Rental Garden' at Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park, Busan's first urban agriculture theme park, since the park's establishment.
The newly available Citizen Rental Garden consists of a total of 60 plots, with each plot measuring approximately 15 square meters including common areas.
Eligibility is limited to citizens who are registered residents of Busan as of the application date. Only one plot can be applied for per household, and duplicate applications within the same household are not allowed.
Applications will be accepted online through the Gijang-gun Office website for three days from March 17 to 19, and recipients will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The rental fee for one plot is 30,000 KRW, and individual payment instructions will be provided to the final selected applicants.
Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, stated, "I hope that the 'Citizen Rental Garden' at Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park will become a space where citizens can enjoy agricultural experiences, heal, and spend leisure time while connecting with nature."
Cheolma Urban Agriculture Park is Busan's first urban agriculture theme park, established to provide opportunities for urban agriculture participation and to expand the multifaceted value of agriculture. It features diverse spaces where urban residents can experience agriculture and nature, including the Urban Agriculture Center, Citizen Rental Garden, Children's Public Garden, Native Farm, Lawn Plaza, and parking lot. The park is currently in a trial operation phase until March and is scheduled to officially open in April.
