"Promoting Residents' Health and Creating a Safe Food Environment"
On the 13th, the Seo-gu District of Gwangju held a launching ceremony for the 'Food Safety Guardians' and began activities to promote residents' health and create a safe food environment.
Starting at the end of this month, the Food Safety Guardians will carry out activities under the slogan 'No Poor Hygiene, Yes to Resident Health.' These activities include ▲ inspecting cooking environments and hygiene at local restaurants and convenience stores ▲ providing on-site hygiene education ▲ offering customized hygiene management consulting. The aim is to raise awareness among business operators about hygiene compliance and to prevent food-related accidents.

In particular, reflecting the consumer trend of increasing single-person households and the rapid growth of non-face-to-face dining culture, the district plans to focus hygiene management consulting on delivery restaurants and unmanned food stores.
Kim Ikang, head of Seo-gu District, said, "I hope you will take a keen interest in hygiene consulting and actively participate in the activities for the food safety of our citizens," adding, "We will spare no effort to eliminate hygiene blind spots in our community and to build a trustworthy and safe food safety city."
Meanwhile, last year, the Food Safety Guardians provided hygiene management consulting to 3,230 businesses, including small restaurants, food manufacturing and processing businesses, group meal facilities, and food retailers, with a total of 716 participants, contributing to the creation of a safe food hygiene environment.
