Muan County Council Hosts Jeonnam City and County Council Chairpersons' Monthly Meeting

Establishing a Close Cooperation System
to Resolve Local Issues

The Muan County Council in Jeonnam (Chairperson Lee Hoseong) announced on the 13th that it held the ‘301st Jeonnam City and County Council Chairpersons’ Association Monthly Meeting’ at the Seungdal Culture and Arts Center in Muan County on the 12th.

At this monthly meeting, a variety of agenda items were discussed, including a proposal for national funding support for nighttime operation of coastal passenger ships in island regions and the introduction of a public operation system. The attending chairpersons pledged to establish a close cooperation system to resolve local issues.

At the commemorative ceremony held prior to the monthly meeting, Muan County Mayor Kim San received a plaque of appreciation in recognition of his contributions to the smooth operation of the Jeonnam City and County Council Chairpersons’ Association and the development of local governance.

In addition, the ‘Legislative Service Grand Prize,’ awarded to local council members who have devoted themselves to establishing an advanced parliamentary culture and developing the local community, was presented to Muan County Council member Lim Yuntaek, making it a meaningful occasion to honor his dedication.

In his welcome address, Chairperson Lee Hoseong said, “It is meaningful to host the Jeonnam City and County Council Chairpersons’ Association in Muan County,” and added, “I hope today’s event serves as a meaningful opportunity to share the issues of each city and county and seek more effective solutions.”
