Lotte World Tower announced on the 13th that it will hold the '2025 Lotte World Tower Skyrun with SPYDER' on the 20th of next month.
Skyrun is the highest vertical marathon in Korea, climbing a total of 2,917 stairs of the 123 floors and 555 meters of Lotte World Tower. Since 2017, it has been planned under the slogan "A Beautiful Challenge for a Warm World" to raise awareness of the importance of health and to bring hope to children undergoing rehabilitation treatment in Korea. Approximately 10,000 people have participated cumulatively, and last year's event was fully booked within 5 minutes of registration opening.
This event is open to people of all ages and genders. The total number of participants is 2,000, including competitive and non-competitive categories. Registration will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 11 a.m. on the 19th through the Lotte ON Skyrun page. The participation fee is 50,000 KRW. The 'Kids Skyrun,' where guardians and children run together, will select a total of 50 teams by lottery on the Lotte ON event page, and there is no separate participation fee.
All participants will be provided in advance with a 'Race KIT' consisting of the official SPYDER T-shirt, a ticket for the movie "Mission: Impossible ? Dead Reckoning," an exchange ticket for the Lotte Museum exhibition "Atelier Gana since 1975," and various discount coupons. Participants who complete the race will receive a 'Completion KIT' including a medal, a digital completion certificate, beverages, and snacks. Among the competitive category, the top three male and female participants with excellent records will receive trophies along with prizes such as Lotte gift certificates worth 1.23 million KRW, a meal voucher for two at Signiel Seoul Stay, and SPYDER products worth approximately 300,000 KRW.
Special participants will also join this event. Twenty-five Seoul firefighters will climb the tower together with citizens, equipped with fire helmets, fireproof suits, air respirators, and 25 kg of gear, replicating the conditions of a fire scene. Additionally, in collaboration with the Seoul Tourism Foundation, a group of foreign influencers called 'Global Seoul Mate' will be invited to challenge Korea's highest vertical marathon and share stories of overcoming limits.
The participation fees will be fully donated to the operating fund of Bobath Children's Rehabilitation Center, Korea's first pediatric rehabilitation hospital operated by the Lotte Medical Foundation. Im Riheon, Marketing Team Leader of Lotte Corporation, said, "Skyrun is a meaningful event where participants can experience the joy of challenge and achievement while practicing the value of sharing through donations. We hope many participants will create special memories by overcoming their limits again this year."
