Sacheon City Holds Policy Deliberation Council for Agriculture, Rural Areas, and Food Industry

Deliberation Committee Finalizes 2026 Budget of Approximately 51.99 Billion KRW for Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock, and Food Projects

Sacheon City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 13th that it held the "Sacheon City Agriculture, Rural, and Food Industry Policy Deliberation Committee" at the Agricultural Technology Center's main conference room, with more than 60 committee members and related officials in attendance, to apply for the 2026 budget for agriculture, forestry, livestock, and food projects.

The "Sacheon City Agriculture, Rural, and Food Industry Policy Deliberation Committee" is chaired by Mayor Park Dongsik and consists of 30 members, including heads of organizations related to agriculture, heads of farmers' groups, and farmers. Every year, the committee deliberates on policies and applies for the next year's agricultural and food project budget.

At this meeting, after explanations and deliberations on project proposals from six subcommittees?agricultural policy, eco-friendly agriculture, livestock, distribution, infrastructure maintenance, and forestry?the committee finalized a total of 30 projects with a total project cost of approximately 51.99 billion KRW.

A city official stated, "We will do our best to ensure that all the agricultural, forestry, livestock, and food project budgets applied for next year are fully reflected, in order to guarantee stable income for farmers and realize sustainable agriculture and rural development."
