Strengthening Competitiveness in AI Security Technology
SK Shieldus announced on the 12th that its physical security brand ADT Caps has proven its artificial intelligence (AI) security technology by obtaining the Intelligent CCTV Performance Test Certification, hosted by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
KISA's Intelligent CCTV Performance Test Certification is a system that tests and evaluates whether intelligent CCTV can accurately distinguish and detect specific behaviors recorded in a video database. Situations such as intrusion, loitering, and arson must be accurately detected to be recorded as correct, and the detection accuracy must be 90% or higher to receive the performance certification.

Following the existing certifications for ▲intrusion ▲loitering ▲falling ▲arson, ADT Caps newly acquired a performance certification in the marketing field this year. This certification evaluates whether the system can track the entry and exit of the same individual in crowded areas with many people. Through this certification, ADT Caps' AI CCTV has been officially recognized as applicable for theft prevention and customer flow analysis in stores with high foot traffic or unmanned stores.
ADT Caps' AI CCTV is equipped with AI technology within the camera itself, enabling real-time video security and big data analysis without the need for a separate server setup. It provides clear images 24 hours a day with a 5-megapixel ultra-high-definition camera and supports fast video searches by distinguishing detailed keywords such as person, gender, and color. In various industries such as stores, factories, and schools, AI functions can be used to quickly search for videos that need to be checked, such as theft, loss, illegal parking, and illegal dumping.
Additionally, it detects abnormal situations such as intrusion or falling in prohibited areas preset by customers in real time and sends alerts to prevent unexpected accidents. When abnormal signals such as door opening or power outage occur, the nearest ADT Caps dispatch personnel on standby 24 hours respond promptly, and in case of emergencies, they immediately cooperate with related agencies such as police stations and fire departments to minimize damage.
ADT Caps aims to further advance its AI CCTV service and provide customized security solutions tailored to various industries. It also plans to pursue certification standards that evaluate safety within unmanned stores in the future.
Jang Woong-jun, Vice President and Head of Physical Security Division at SK Shieldus, said, “With this certification acquisition, we have proven that ADT Caps' AI CCTV can provide high value not only in security but also in practical business areas such as store operation and customer management,” adding, “We will continue to develop services that customers need and create new standards for AI security.”
