The Democratic Party of Korea is urging the swift adoption of the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol and will march from the National Assembly in Yeouido to Gwanghwamun. The party plans to mobilize all its efforts at the party-wide level in response to the changed atmosphere following President Yoon's release.

On the 11th, immediately after the Democratic Party's emergency parliamentary meeting held at the National Assembly main building in Yeouido, floor spokesperson Yoon Jong-gun told reporters, "There was a proposal to announce related positions at the National Assembly tomorrow under the concept of a day to protect democracy and the constitution, and to hold a street march to Gwanghwamun." He added, "The party aims to fully devote itself to spreading public opinion for the swift adoption of impeachment together with the people."

This proposal reportedly came mainly from four-term lawmakers. Since the decision to cancel President Yoon's detention, the Constitutional Court has been urged to promptly adopt President Yoon's impeachment, with actions such as rallies at Gwanghwamun, relay speeches, and head-shaving ceremonies.

Spokesperson Yoon said, "The proposal for the march received generally positive responses," and added, "There was a consensus to show a heightened level of collective action by the Democratic Party." Regarding the emphasis on street politics, he argued, "The leader of the rebellion has returned, and impeachment adoption is imminent; I hope people consider the gravity of the situation historically," and said, "I think street politics is better than continued rebellion."

Regarding plans to impeach Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung, he said, "Lawmakers have sufficiently expressed their opinions among themselves, and the party leadership will decide after reviewing the situation," and added, "It has not been concluded that it will not be done."
