Geron Selvain, a prescription drug manufacturing company, announced on the 11th that it has signed a 20 billion KRW investment agreement to expand its PDRN production capacity (CAPA) in Wonju City, Gangwon Province.

The agreement, held in the small conference room of the new building at the Gangwon Provincial Government Office, involves the purchase of a factory site measuring 13,200㎡ (approximately 3,900 pyeong) in Wonju City, Gangwon Province.
Following its factories in Asan and Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, Geron Selvain has signed a contract to purchase a factory site in Wonju, Gangwon Province, planning to expand the production of polynucleotide (PDRN) raw materials and the prescription drug "Selvain Injection," a PDRN-based pain and inflammation treatment.
Geron Selvain plans to utilize the Wonju factory as a facility capable of producing various products in line with future business expansion. The company explained that it will continue product development through research and development (R&D) investments focusing on future growth foundations.
Kim Deok-gyu, CEO of Geron Selvain, stated, “We will combine the advantages of Wonju, Gangwon Province, a hub for the bio-health industry, with excellent technology to establish a research and development base. Through this investment, we aim to build state-of-the-art bio facilities, contribute to the concentration of industry within the region, activate an integrated ecosystem, and support the growth of Gangwon Province and the global bio sector.”
He added, “With the purchase of the Wonju factory site, we have secured additional momentum for expanding PDRN production capacity and sustainable growth. We are continuously conducting product development research using Geron Selvain’s patented Prism Technology (Prism-T), which is expected to have a positive impact on sustained growth.”
Kim Jin-tae, Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, said, “Since the launch of the 8th administration, we have attracted 43 companies, with more than half, 26 companies, choosing Wonju. We will actively support them to ensure that choosing Wonju is recognized as a wise decision.”
