This market was established to support direct transactions for local farmers, targeting tourists who visit the Jangseongho Subyeongil, which attracts an average of 3,000 to 4,000 people every weekend.
This year, the Subyeongil Market will be held every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from March to December. A total of 16 vendors will participate, offering a variety of products such as fresh vegetables, fruits, durup, gorosoe, processed foods, hinoki products, quilt crafts, and dyed goods. In addition, if visitors pay the 3,000 KRW entrance fee for the Subyeongil, they will receive the same amount in the local currency, 'Jangseong Sarang Gift Certificate,' which can be used to purchase agricultural specialties.
On the first day of opening, a 10% discount event and small souvenirs were offered, receiving a great response from visitors.
Kim Hanjong, the county governor, said, "We will continue to showcase Jangseong's excellent agricultural specialties to Jangseongho visitors," and encouraged much interest and visits.
