Kim Dong-yeon, governor of Gyeonggi Province and a non-Lee Jae-myung faction presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, was hit by a beer can thrown by a passerby while holding a solo protest calling for the dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol. On the 10th, Gyeonggi Ilbo reported, "At around 6:30 p.m. that day, Governor Kim was holding a solo protest in front of Exit 12 of Suwon Station and was about to interview with reporters when he received strong objections from a passerby."

That day, Governor Kim said, "The cancellation of Yoon Seok-yeol's detention was due to procedural flaws, but until now, 50 million citizens have been deprived of rights that Yoon Seok-yeol has enjoyed," adding, "Since the prosecution clearly made a mistake, I urge the Prosecutor General to resign." Regarding the impeachment of Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung being pursued by the Democratic Party, he stated, "One cannot help but ask if the Prosecutor General is working for his former boss or the ringleader of the rebellion," and added, "Although the impeachment of the Prosecutor General has not yet been decided, I believe the Prosecutor General's resignation is absolutely necessary."

Governor Kim posted on his social media, "I started a solo protest near Suwon Station," and said, "The completion of impeachment is only the dismissal of the ringleader of the rebellion." He plans to continue the protest near Exit 3 of Gwanggyo Jungang Station on the Shinbundang Line on the morning of the 11th.

Another non-Lee Jae-myung faction presidential candidate, former Gyeongnam Province Governor Kim Kyung-soo, has also been on a hunger strike since the 9th, calling for President Yoon's dismissal. Regarding the cancellation of President Yoon's detention, former Governor Kim told Yonhap News Agency, "It was concluded from the perspective of protecting the rights of the accused, a practice maintained for decades, but why is he the president?" He added, "I hope this hunger strike will serve as a catalyst to unite the people's will until (President Yoon) is impeached."
