Songpa-gu to Host Exciting Live Performances Every Saturday and Sunday at 7 PM in March at Seokchon Lake Atelier
Seven Rising Indie Rock Bands to Showcase Diverse Musical Worlds... All Tickets Sold Out
In March, when new sprouts begin to grow, Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it will present a vibrant series of youth-driven planned performances called 'Band Signal' at the Seokchon Lake Atelier (191 Seokchonhosu-ro).
At the 'Seokchon Lake Atelier,' located by the west shore of Seokchon Lake, various performances, experiences, and cultural programs are held every month. 'Band Signal' was planned with the purpose of discovering fresh young bands and showcasing diverse genres of music. It has continued for several years and has established itself as the signature performance of the atelier.
This year, seven emerging indie music acts, each with distinct personalities, have prepared special encounters with the audience. These bands, recognized for their solid skills through various concerts, festivals, and broadcasts, will present their unique musical worlds based on rock.
Last weekend, on the 8th and 9th, the bands ‘Jeokranun’ and ‘Beirut Taxi’ kicked off the performances with powerful guitar riffs. Over the remaining weekends, five bands will perform one team per day. On the 15th and 16th, ‘Sim Island’ and ‘Moscow Surf Club’ will perform, followed by ‘Bigongjeong’ on the 23rd, ‘Synergarret’ on the 29th, and on the final day of the performances, Sunday the 30th, ‘Blue Turtle Land,’ which recently completed a successful tour in Japan, will take the stage. However, there will be a break on Saturday the 22nd.
Tickets for the performances can be reserved on the ‘Seoul Public Service Reservation’ website. Currently, all 110 seats per session are fully booked in advance, but cancellations and remaining seats on-site may occasionally become available. Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “Art is the criterion that distinguishes advanced from backward, civilization from non-civilization. We will provide residents with opportunities to enjoy diverse cultural lives at Seokchon Lake, where culture, art, and beautiful scenery flow.”
