The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service has been supporting local organizations in need with health and hygiene products for four consecutive years by voluntarily raising funds to commemorate International Women's Day. This year, the Busan Metropolitan City Youth Self-Reliance Support Center was selected as the beneficiary.
On the 8th, the Busan Metropolitan City Youth Self-Reliance Support Center received a donation of 100 Freener organic sanitary pad packages worth 3 million KRW from the National Health Insurance Service. These will be distributed to vulnerable female adolescents to help address the issue of 'period poverty.' In addition, support will be provided to women's residential facilities in the Busan area to enhance convenience.
Director Jang Juhyun stated, "Through this support, the economic burden on female adolescents has been reduced, and conditions have been created for them to grow in a healthy and safe environment." She added, "We hope that this sponsorship will deliver messages of hope and encouragement to the youth."
