CJ Logistics Adds 4 Health Checkup Items for Delivery Workers and Expands Accessibility CJ Logistics delivery drivers are undergoing health checkups on the morning of the 10th at the Mapo B Subterminal of the Mapo branch office in Seoul. Provided by CJ Logistics

Four new checkup items?tests for gout, rheumatoid arthritis, infectious diseases, and liver cancer?will be added to the existing 60 items, and convenience will be improved by allowing checkups on weekends and at night.

CJ Logistics explained that the additional checkup items were selected considering the driving, delivery, and face-to-face work characteristics of delivery drivers. Tests for gout and rheumatoid arthritis are essential for delivery drivers who may experience joint strain due to vehicle driving and repetitive delivery tasks. The infectious disease (CRP) test can detect acute infections and inflammation such as colds and pneumonia, which is useful given the nature of their work involving contact with many people. Additionally, liver fibrosis tests and imaging examinations allow for more precise detection of liver diseases that are difficult to identify early.

For delivery drivers classified as high-risk, additional detailed examination costs will be supported, and health consultation services with medical staff will be provided if any abnormal findings are detected after the checkup. To minimize work disruption on the day of the checkup, a substitute delivery fee support system is operated, and accessibility is expanded to allow health checkups on weekends and at night, ensuring no blind spots in health management.

CJ Logistics started health checkups for delivery drivers for the first time in the industry in 2013. Health checkups for delivery drivers, who are self-employed, are a differentiated welfare system of CJ Logistics, and all drivers receive health checkups annually. The company covers all costs.

A CJ Logistics official said, "The health of delivery drivers is a crucial factor directly linked to service quality," adding, "We will continue to practice win-win management through welfare enhancement and improvement of working conditions."
