The main inspection items are: ▲ the safety management status of temporary fire protection facilities at large construction sites ▲ whether evacuation and fire protection facilities at fire-prone sites are blocked or obstructed ▲ the adequacy of maintenance and management of fire protection facilities by related personnel ▲ and the performance of duties by fire safety managers.
In particular, joint inspections with relevant agencies will be conducted at traditional temples and large construction sites. For four fire-prone locations such as hotels, a metropolitan fire safety investigation team composed of experts will participate to carry out more precise inspections.
Fire Chief Lee Osook stated, "Spring is a season with a high risk of fire due to dry weather, so we will thoroughly conduct these fire safety inspections to prevent large-scale fires," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that residents can welcome spring in a safer environment."
