Practical Corporate Support Cooperation
"Value-Up Management Activities Support Information Session"
Held at Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Busan Metropolitan City and the Financial Supervisory Service will hold an information session to support the growth of innovative companies.

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced that it will host an "Information Session to Support Value-Up Management Activities" together with the Financial Supervisory Service at 1:00 PM on the 2nd floor Chamber Hall of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 11th.

This session is being held to help strengthen the management capabilities of promising innovative growth companies in the Busan area and to devise practical support measures, enabling them to respond to changes in the capital market environment and grow smoothly.

At the session, the Financial Supervisory Service will first present on disclosure systems and key considerations for value-up support. Main topics include: ▲ changes in dividend procedures and treasury stock systems ▲ disclosures and key considerations for protecting general shareholders ▲ regulations on unfair trading, among others.

The Korea Exchange will explain the "Discovery and Nurturing Project for Promising Innovative Growth Companies," an initiative agreed upon by Busan Metropolitan City, the Korea Exchange, and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry last February. This session is an important step toward the practical implementation of that agreement.

Key points of the business agreement include: ▲ providing customized consulting for companies aspiring to go public ▲ jointly hosting seminars and information sessions on listing systems ▲ establishing a continuous support system for investment relations (IR) events linking Busan-based startups ▲ supporting education related to value-up management and ESG disclosures for companies.

Prior to the information session, a meeting among related organizations will be held at the fintech hub S-Space within the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss value-up management activity support and tailored support measures for small and medium-sized enterprises.

In addition to Busan Metropolitan City and the Financial Supervisory Service, about 10 key officials from related organizations such as the Busan Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Exchange, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Busan Technopark Investment, and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry are expected to attend.

At this meeting, discussions will be held on: ▲ customized support measures to strengthen the management capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises ▲ company support programs by each participating organization ▲ potential areas for future collaboration. After the meeting, there will also be an opportunity to visit companies residing in the "Fintech Hub" within "S-Space" and listen to their feedback on site.

"S-Space," where the meeting will be held, is a fintech hub located on the 3rd floor of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, currently housing four promising fintech companies. This space is operated to foster tailored support and create an ecosystem for the fintech industry, helping companies grow by providing rent support and IR opportunities through major networks.

Nam Dongwoo, Director of Financial Startup Policy at Busan Metropolitan City, said, "This event will serve as an important opportunity to promote the development of Busan's financial industry and innovative growth," adding, "We will continue to actively support the sustainable growth of local companies in cooperation with financial authorities and related organizations."

Materials from this information session will be available later on the Financial Supervisory Service's website.
