Yoon, Meeting with Kwon Young-se and Kwon Seong-dong the Day Before... "Thank You for Managing the People Power Party Well"

A 30-Minute Tea Meeting at the Hannam-dong Residence Without Any Attendees Present

President Yoon Suk-yeol met with Kwon Young-se, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, and Kwon Seong-dong, the floor leader, on the 9th.

According to Shin Dong-wook, the chief spokesperson of the People Power Party, Kwon Chairman and Kwon Floor Leader visited the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul, from 8 p.m. the previous day for about 30 minutes to meet President Yoon on the 10th.

Spokesperson Shin said, "Over a cup of tea, President Yoon shared various reflections he had during his time in detention," adding, "During that period, centered around the two, there was also a message of gratitude for 'managing the party well'."

Earlier, when President Yoon was released on the 8th following the court's decision to cancel his detention, he had a phone call with the party leadership that same night.

When a reporter asked, "Who suggested the visit first?" Spokesperson Shin replied, "During the call on the first day of release, without anyone taking the lead, it was decided with 'We will visit you' and 'Come over'."

Regarding whether President Yoon left any messages for the party leadership, he answered, "There was no talk about 'how the party should proceed in the future'."

When asked if First Lady Kim Keon-hee was present, he clarified, "Only the three (President Yoon, Chairman Kwon, and Floor Leader Kwon) met."

Spokesperson Shin was asked if the Emergency Response Committee plans to visit President Yoon again, and he said, "As far as I know, there are no additional plans for the time being in the current situation."
