Ham Jin-gyu, President of Korea Expressway Corporation, met with Nuon Pharat, Governor of Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia, at the Pangyo ex-Smart Center on the 7th to discuss cooperation plans for road and transportation projects, the corporation announced.

In Cambodia, a 400 km highway project connecting the capital Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Poipet on the Thai border is underway. A 135 km highway connecting Phnom Penh and Bavet near the Vietnam border is also being promoted. The projects are valued at $4.2 billion and $1.4 billion respectively. They discussed ways for the Korea Expressway Corporation to participate in these projects.
The Korea Expressway Corporation has completed a total of 20 projects worth $1.1 billion in Cambodia from 2005 to 2023. President Ham Jin-gyu said, "Since we have had a good relationship for a long time, I hope this discussion will lead to active exchanges."
