Ulsan City to Host the 15th Public Design Contest

Ulsan City is hosting the 15th Ulsan Metropolitan City Public Design Contest under the theme of "2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo Character Design."

This contest has been organized to discover creative and artistic character designs for the expo, aiming to support the successful hosting of the 2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo and to boost pre-event publicity.

Anyone in the country, including individuals and companies, is eligible to participate.

To enter, participants must submit a panel featuring one basic character design and five applied versions, along with a description of the work and an application form. Entries must be submitted via email between July 23 and 29.

Teams of up to two people are allowed, and each participant or team may submit up to two works.

Ulsan City will review the submitted works and select a total of 27 entries, awarding the Ulsan Mayor's Prize and a total of 15 million KRW in prize money (with 8 million KRW for the grand prize).

The results of the judging will be announced on the Ulsan City website in early September.

The winning work selected as the character for the "2028 Ulsan International Garden Expo" will be used in event promotional materials such as expo videos, fan merchandise (goods), and signboards. All winning works will be exhibited at the Ulsan Architecture Culture Festival and the Public Design Exhibition.
