Suwon City Calls for Regulatory Innovation Ideas... Until April 30

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is holding the ‘Suwon-style Regulatory Innovation Idea Proposal Contest’ until April 30.


On the 10th, Suwon City announced that it is soliciting ideas to innovate hidden regulations and unreasonable regulations (laws, systems, rules, etc.) in daily life.


The contest categories are ▲Citizen Welfare (regulations related to welfare such as childbirth, childcare, elderly, disabled, low-income groups) ▲Daily Life (inconveniences in daily life such as transportation, housing, medical care, education, environment, and safety) ▲Business Activities (business operation difficulties such as self-employed, small business owners, SMEs startup, employment, and business attraction) ▲Employment and Jobs (employment regulation difficulties for youth, career interrupters, elderly, etc.) ▲New Industries (regulatory difficulties in new technologies, new services, renewable energy, advanced medical care, etc.) ▲Others (all fields requiring regulatory improvement).

You can download the proposal form by searching ‘Suwon-style Regulatory Innovation Idea Proposal Contest’ in the search bar on the Suwon City website (www.suwon.go.kr), fill it out, and submit it via email (hong0510@korea.kr), mail (Legal Affairs Officer, Suwon City Hall, 241 Hyowon-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon), or in person.


Suwon City will select one grand prize, two excellence awards, three encouragement awards, and ten effort awards each for citizens and public officials through evaluation. The prize money is 500,000 KRW for excellence, 300,000 KRW for excellence, 200,000 KRW for encouragement, and 30,000 KRW for effort.


A Suwon City official said, "We hope you submit innovative ideas that can improve unreasonable regulations hidden in daily life," and added, "We will actively strive for regulatory innovation that citizens can feel."
