Sales of 'Hot Cheese Big Ssai Boneless' Jump 30-Fold
'Edward Lee Chicken' to Launch on the 20th
Native burger and chicken brand Mom's Touch announced on the 10th that it surpassed 100 billion KRW in chicken-only sales for the first time last year. The 'Hot Cheese Big Ssai Boneless' gained popularity among young consumers, driving sales growth.
Mom's Touch stated, "The proportion of chicken sales, which was about 13% of total sales in January and February last year, exceeded 23% during the same period this year," adding, "Sales of 'Hot Cheese Big Ssai Boneless' increased 30-fold." This product is a boneless chicken made from 100% chicken thigh meat, marinated in spicy seasoning and four different sauces, gaining a reputation as a cost-effective menu item. The price is 14,500 KRW for the regular size and 22,500 KRW for the max size.
Mom's Touch explained that the background of this achievement was "continuous research and development (R&D) efforts based on consumer and market analysis." After years of research, Mom's Touch renewed the existing ‘Ssai Boneless’ last year by doubling the weight per piece and enhancing the juiciness and texture, renaming it ‘Big Ssai Boneless.’ They also developed a spicy seasoning sauce that maintains crispiness for a long time, increasing the product's competitiveness.
Mom's Touch plans to launch 'Edward Lee Big Ssai Boneless,' featuring the unique recipe of Chef Edward Lee, on the 20th. A Mom's Touch representative said, "The popularity of Hot Cheese Big Ssai Boneless continues, and the new menu is receiving positive internal reviews," adding, "We will further strengthen our position as a chicken brand by launching differentiated new menus."
