NH Investment & Securities analyzed on the 10th that Sinopex is showing results in the artificial kidney business. No investment opinion or target price was provided.
Shim Eui-seon, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, said, "Sinopex formed a consortium in 2020 with the Department of Nephrology at Seoul National University Hospital and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Seoul National University to develop domestic versions of blood dialysis-related products, which have been entirely dependent on imports." He added, "In March last year, they obtained approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the blood filtration device, and since August of the same year, they have started using it for general patients, currently supplying products to 25 hospitals nationwide."
He stated, "From May last year, they conducted Phase 4 clinical trials with five major hospitals to test performance and compare with global products, and recently announced the successful completion of the trials." He emphasized, "Based on the clinical data, they plan to publish a paper in the second half of the year and expand market entry." He added, "Additionally, they are preparing for European and U.S. certifications aiming for approval within the year."
In particular, NH Investment & Securities evaluated that Sinopex is expanding growth momentum in various areas. He said, "Besides the artificial kidney business, they are also conducting customer tests for chemical filters and FPCB business for electric vehicle batteries, thereby expanding growth momentum in multiple directions." He emphasized, "Along with growth, shareholder-friendly policies are also expected to expand." He added, "It is anticipated that the company will gradually expand achievements in various businesses with high growth potential, and corporate value will also grow accordingly."
