Electronic and Paper Surveys Conducted from the 12th to April 1st
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan: "We Will Pursue Resident-Customized Reconstruction Projects"
Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 10th that it will conduct a resident survey from the 12th to April 1st targeting the pre-consulting reconstruction complexes in Ilsan New Town.
On February 21st, the city held an explanatory meeting for representatives of ▲Baekma Village Complexes 3, 4, 5, and 6 ▲Hugok Village Complexes 1, 2, 5, and 6 ▲Gangseon Village Complexes 15, 16, and 17, which were selected for the ‘2024 Pre-Consulting Reconstruction Service (Ilsan New Town).’ The meeting covered the project overview, redevelopment directions, and plans and methods for the resident survey.
The resident survey period will last for three weeks from the 12th to April 1st, and will be conducted using both electronic surveys (QR code) via mobile phones and paper surveys.
Based on the survey results, redevelopment plans reflecting residents’ preferences will be prepared. Since a higher response rate enables more accurate data collection, active participation from residents during the survey is necessary.
Goyang Special City plans to decide on redevelopment plans tailored to the characteristics of each complex, land use plans, building layout plans, feasibility analyses, estimated contributions, and public contribution measures by reflecting the survey results. Additionally, the city will provide information to residents to help them understand the reconstruction projects for each complex.
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City stated, “We are proactively conducting pre-consulting services to establish redevelopment plans suited to the characteristics of each area and aim to assist residents in making rational decisions by providing useful information. Through this service, we will present a model for reconstruction projects and strive to promote resident-customized reconstruction projects.”
Meanwhile, the basic maintenance plan for Ilsan New Town, currently underway by the city, was conditionally approved by the Goyang City Urban Planning Committee on February 12th and is awaiting the final review by the Gyeonggi Province Urban Planning Committee. It is expected to be established in April after provincial review and consultations with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
