Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 35 members for the Architectural Committee until the 21st of this month.
The Gyeonggi Province Architectural Committee plays an important role in reviewing amendments to the provincial architectural ordinance, preliminary approvals for building permits requiring the governor's consent, and considers not only the structural safety and functional elements of buildings but also urban landscape and the enhancement of public value. In particular, since 2015, through the implementation of the "Visiting Architectural Committee," it has supported region-specific reviews and improved convenience for residents.
This recruitment seeks experts who will actively work to enhance the structural safety, functionality, environment, and aesthetics of buildings, as well as increase public value reflecting regional characteristics. The recruitment fields include architectural planning, architectural construction, architectural structure, building facilities, eco-friendly architecture, soil and foundation, fire and disaster prevention, transportation, architectural heritage and culture, and landscape design.
Applicants must be experts with extensive knowledge and experience in their respective fields and integrity. Eligible candidates include those at the assistant professor level or higher at universities related to the field, holders of a doctoral degree with more than 5 years of practical experience, or certified engineers or architects with more than 5 years of practical experience. Experts at the level of research directors in government or local government research institutes, as well as public officials of grade 4 or higher, are also eligible to apply.
Gyeonggi Province plans to strengthen the committee's expertise and enhance fairness and transparency in the architectural review process through this open recruitment. Selected members will serve for two years starting from May 2025 and contribute to the development of architectural administration in Gyeonggi Province through review and consultation.
